Pool Party

The pictures pretty much explain themselves!

She likes to stand in the pool, holding onto the edge whole grabbing for the hose or splashing in the water!

Pretty Ponies!

As usual, just a few pictures from this week! Amelia has taken a few steps here and there. We are so excited for her! Hopefully she will be toddling around by her birthday! Then we will wish she wasn't!
Hope you enjoy!

So much to do on a Friday.
I would just like to say that even though my daughter has been wearing 12 and 18 month clothing for a few months now, I think that clothing designers should go off the size of the outfit she has on here. They are 12 month shorts and tank that are a little big for her!
I love them! They are so simple and cute!

Her face explains how she feels about the next pictures!

I had to wet her hair down to get enough to make a pony!

She was very tired during this photo shoot.

We have been having a hard time getting Amelia to eat foods with any texture. She sticks her tongue out until the food slides off. Aunt Kim suggested letting her eat the food herself. I had tried to avoid this because the thought of bathing her and the highchair every night gave me a headache! Last night we gave it a shot and she did heat the small noodles by herself. Who knows how much she actually got into her mouth though!

Just like finger painting!

Mmmmmmmmm!

I had her toenail painted all pretty for the fair this weekend. Unfortunately, due to final exams, we did not make it!
Sorry, Emma!

Busy, Busy!

Just a few photos and videos to let you in on what Amelia has been up to lately. She is really into her books lately. She will pull them all out to look at them. Ben bought her a baby pool and told me she did not like it when they tried it out. We will have to try that again. She has figured out how to open the cabinet doors in the kitchen. Yeah for her, not for me! She also said, Ma Ma, for the first time yesterday. Everyday her personality comes out a little more. She says, mmmmmm, when she thinks she wants something and has started using her pointer finger.
I think that is all for now!
Hope you enjoy the pics and videos!

Looking at books.

I think the news bored her because she never falls asleep like that!

Don't ask me what this face is. She might be upset her water is not ice cold or that Daddy put the pink lid on the green cup. She knows how much this annoys Mommy.

Daddy swears he put lotion on her face. What do you think? The red spot on her forehead is really a bump from falling and hitting her head on the leg of the table. She survived.

Books again!

Last Two Weekends

The last two weekends Amelia and I have been in Illinois. These pictures are all from the last few weeks. Amelia is getting better at standing by herself. We have yet to get a picture of her doing it though!
I would also like to say thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Rankin for the swing they gave Amelia, and to the James Gang for the books and tractor you let her have. She loves all of them!
And a big thanks to everyone who helped with Amelia while we were down! We appreciate it!
We are really looking forward to watching Emma show at the fair and can't wait to see everyone again!
Love - Ben, Kori, and Amelia

Watching Veggie tales after her bath.

Ella and Amelia getting a ride from Aunt Karen.
She does not look to excited.
Looking pretty in the dress Aunt Kim got her!

Trying to sit on Colby!
Sorry, Colby!

Emma reading to Colby and Amelia.

Miss Ella reading to Aunt Kelly!

A fuzzy picture I thought I had deleted.

Pushing the tractor!

She found the zipper!

I would like to see the camera, Mommy!

Pushing Daddy on the tractor!
Amelia and I would like to say, Congratulations Daddy! Ben now has his Bachelors Degree in Business and we are very proud of him!

Strutting her stuff!

She likes to crawl through that space and I tried to get a picture of her trying to shuffle her way through while standing up but I was too late!

Lake Michigan

This past Tuesday, I woke Ben up and asked if he wanted to play hookie for the morning. He did not have to work that night but I knew that he had a lot of shool work to do and so did I. However, he said sure, so we headed to Michigan to have lunch and go to the beach.
We decided to eat at Redamaks. They have the best burgers, EVER, and I had been begging Ben to take me there since summer started. Amelia is usually very good at restaurants but on this day she decided to scream bloody murder when a man said hello to her. She turned beat red and would not stop crying until I had picked her up. She continued to grunt and whine the whole rest of the meal. She was such a little monkey.
I was pretty sure that my day was ruined because as we headed out of the restaurant it started sprinkling. Who takes their kid to the beach when it is raining? Apparently, we do.
I told Ben we should just go home since Amelia was in a bad mood and it was sprinkling. He pulled into the parking lot at the beach claiming he had not heard me. By this time it was done sprinkling. There was no sun but we found that this is the best time to take your 10 month old to the beach. The sand was not hot and there were not millions of people around. We had a blast! She played in the sand and at the playground!
With Ben's work schedule and school work, plus my school work and Amelia ,we feel that on our days off we are constantly trying to get the housework done or work in the yard. I am really glad we played hookie on Tuesday, we had a great time and great memories of Amelia's first time at the beach.

She loved the swings! She laughed and laughed! We really need to invest in one of those!

Don't ask me why I have a sun hat on her when there was no sun!

My favorite picture!

There were two little girls she kept watching. I think she was hoping they were her cousins!

Ben took Amelia down the twisty slide. She didn't mind it but I think Daddy enjoyed it more than she did.

I almost had a heart attack when they came down like this. I thought she was going to have damage to her head.

Just joking, that picture was staged! You know Ben, he likes to create drama!

She was not to thrilled with the little slide either.

By the time we hit this, she was done.

Looking at the swings.

She was slightly scared of the water.

Wondering what all the hoop la is about.

div> She is not quite sure if she should sit down or not.

Now we like the sand. Sand is fun!
Hmmm.....I wonder if that is a big bathtub?

I might have to check that out now.

Cold and gritty. I need some of this at home.

She was crawling all over the place.

Daddy and Amelia.

Taking in the view.
