Girls Just Want to Have Fun!

With the few nice days we have had it has become clear to me that my daughter takes after her father in the outdoors department!

We went to a few different parks and she insisted on trying out the eagles nest and climbing to the slide via the tire ladder rather than climbing the steps.

She insisted on helping plant the potatoes and climbed up on everything that could give her a ride.

She also had enough imagination to use the pool ladder as a jungle gym and was flying her stick around the yard.

We also discovered that she has to tell everyone around her what she did at the park, if she went down the slide she would tell the lady next to us!

I suppose it is not so bad that she is an outdoorsy kinda girl!

I'm a Big Girl Now!!

Hello! Just a little update on Miss Amelia!

1. She has been awesome with potty training! Her ony down fall is wanting to wear her Dora pull ups instead of her Big Girl Undies!

2. She loves to slide, we are in the process of putting up a swingset!

3. She loves Ben's IPAD.

4. She loves Bananas.

5. She is obsessed with being hurt, always has a Boo Boo!

6. Has been playing house all the time.

7. Loves to fingerpaint.

8. Is a rockstar at church, always getting compliments on how good she is!

8. Is getting good at coloring.

9. Loves getting her picture taken.

10. Is such a great, goofy, loving, little girl!

Wow, I can't believe it has been almost a whole month since I last posted! Our start to 2011 has been very busy with school, work, and Amelia. January 21st Amelia had her adenoids removed and we have noticed a huge change in her speech and snoring! She is attempting to say new words that she hears and trying to have more conversations with us. She does snore as loudly and sleeps better at night, so far so good. The week after her adenoids were removed I brought home a puppy. Ben was furious but for 3 weeks I would drive by an old yellow farmhouse that had a sign for free puppies. So I stopped one day after clinical and saw the cutes puppies. Ben told me that he was not going to let me in with a puppy but low and behold she has grown on him and is very good!

We named her Piper and she is about 3 months old. The vet thinks she is part Australian Shepherd and part hound dog of some sort! No one knows for sure. Her paws are pretty big for her age so she might be a big girl. She sleeps in her crate at night beside Leah without whining and goes to the bathroom outside! She has been great so far and Leah, though slightly annoyed at times, has great fun wrestling and taking her toys from her!

Ben got good news that he should(fingers crossed) be getting moved to his new job as Safety Manager the 3rd week of February and we are very excited for him to be on days and have nights and weekends off! YEAH!

Nursing school is going well! I have 2 clinicals this semester and am learning a lot on the floor from other nurses!
