Wow, I can't believe it has been almost a whole month since I last posted! Our start to 2011 has been very busy with school, work, and Amelia. January 21st Amelia had her adenoids removed and we have noticed a huge change in her speech and snoring! She is attempting to say new words that she hears and trying to have more conversations with us. She does snore as loudly and sleeps better at night, so far so good. The week after her adenoids were removed I brought home a puppy. Ben was furious but for 3 weeks I would drive by an old yellow farmhouse that had a sign for free puppies. So I stopped one day after clinical and saw the cutes puppies. Ben told me that he was not going to let me in with a puppy but low and behold she has grown on him and is very good!
We named her Piper and she is about 3 months old. The vet thinks she is part Australian Shepherd and part hound dog of some sort! No one knows for sure. Her paws are pretty big for her age so she might be a big girl. She sleeps in her crate at night beside Leah without whining and goes to the bathroom outside! She has been great so far and Leah, though slightly annoyed at times, has great fun wrestling and taking her toys from her!
Ben got good news that he should(fingers crossed) be getting moved to his new job as Safety Manager the 3rd week of February and we are very excited for him to be on days and have nights and weekends off! YEAH!
Nursing school is going well! I have 2 clinicals this semester and am learning a lot on the floor from other nurses!
Thanks for checking in and hopefully I will be seeing all of you at the Ruth Cooper Memorial Fundraiser on March 12!
Love - Kori

Amelia got this shirt out of the handy downs box from Aunt Karen and insisted on wearing it last night to bed and today! She says it is her Yee haw shirt!

Wow Amelia is so big! I love hearing her talk :) Such a smartie-pants!
And I LOVE Piper - she is adorable! I have always loved how Australian Sherphers look but heard they need lots of space to run around (which we don't have). Those blue eyes are so pretty!
CUTE!!!!!!! Millie is getting so big!!!! I love the name Piper...I named one of Jessie's puppies that recently. Haha! Your Piper looks like she is part beagle or something in that one picture. She is very cute!!!
Can't wait to see you all in a little over a month!!! :) Love ya!

Okay- I think her face has rounded up quite a bit-does that come with getting adenoids taken out? :)
Very cute puppy and I'm glad Ben finally got over his stubborness! How could you resist those blue eyes really-isn't that why he married you ;)
Love ya! See you in a month!

Piper looks as if she is going to be a very large dog! Don't let Ben give you a hard time about bringing a dog home. He did it numerous times as a child. She is definatly part aust shep. she will be extremly loyal.Does she herd you when you walk around? You could also train her to be very protective of Amelia. Love seeing pics of my one and only grandaughter. Can't wait to see ou all in person. Later gater- grandma rundle
Piper looks part zebra! matches the new blog look quite nicely :)
Glad to see an update from you guys and happy to hear things are going well!
